With the autumn term’s activities and peer-insights acting as guide and inspiration, our Year 12 HEA cohort kicked off the Spring Term meeting the HEA team to discuss and hone their university and degree choices. Meanwhile, medicine degree hopefuls convened at Harris City Academy Crystal Palace to hear an extensive overview of the applications process, alongside a detailed exposition on what the course itself entails from Imperial College’s Vision Medical Society (ICVM). The workshop was concluded with a series of pointers from ICVM on the key steps needed for the year ahead to make a competitive application in the autumn; vital advice mirrored across the HEA as the wider cohort left their 1-to-1 meetings with a wealth of pointers and opportunities to help them enhance their academic profiles in preparation for autumn’s UCAS season.
